Wednesday, March 14 El Arrayan, excellent dinner

We had assured Claudette that things were pretty tranquil … ERROR!  The party-hearty crew across the canyon went well into the wee hours, then a car alarm or possibly emergency vehicle siren sounded for a good while.  After that, the party crew was boisterous in a public (and wide-open) room from about 4-4AM.  Just lovely.  None of us bothered the others, and eventually each of us managed to get back to sleep for at least a while.
Given the rocky state of sleep, we abandoned our idea of finding the botanic gardens this morning and focused on getting dinner at a very fine restaurant downtown.  It was also an art-gallery open-house evening, so after a fabulous meal of dazzlingly complex flavors, we ambled through several galleries and caught a cab home.  Too dark to film, for sure, and we were happy to be within a few steps of bed.
